| Summary: | The research project "Compilation, transcription and divulgation of the musical material of the Primate Cathedral of Bogota" was conducted within the framework of the collective agreement signed by the University of los Andes, The Ministry of Culture and the Primate Cathedral of Bogota on the 24th of November 2016. This agreement is led by the Faculty of Arts and Humanities for the purpose of assuring the protection of the patrimonial assets present in the Cathedral. We worked directly with the Music Archive, which contains repertoire in different formats: manuscripts, incunable and printed works from XVI to XX century that remains unknown in the vast majority. That's why this archive is today one of the most complete and best preserved in Hispanic America as well as one of the oldest musical sources for Colombian music.
