Description
Summary:"Project Delivery Methods in the construction industry have evolved to meet the challenges of a shifting and competitive environment. The need for decreasing delivery times has led to new ways of assigning responsibilities in construction projects, giving rise to more integrated formulas that in turn enable the reduction of projects design and construction phases. In Colombia, there is no record of the most common delivery systems nor a consent about the accurate terminology to name them. Therefore, this research intends to determine the most widely used delivery systems, procurement methods and payment provisions, for the main actors in the construction industry in Colombia, and to relate them to nomenclature proposed by the international state of the art. Thus, it will be possible to identify the industry's current condition in terms of project delivery methods in comparison to international practices." -- Tomado del Formato de Documento de Grado.
