| Summary: | This work shows an updated study about the importance of family companies in Colombia, their conflicts and the importance of Family Constitution as mechanisms for the de-escalation of conflicts. The main objective is to determine to what Family Constitutions, and particularly the clauses related to conflict resolution, are useful tools for disputes resolution in family companies. Likewise, a study of this figure will be carried out in order to establish its evolution in the national legislation, its essential characteristics and its function in the corporate sphere. The aim is to know the impact of this mechanism both in the solution of controversies, as well as the permanence in time of such kind of companies.
