Currently this works is still undergoing with researchers from the Department of Biomedical Engineering , Department of Systems and Computing Engineering and La CardioCardiovascular diseases (CVDs) account for most non communicable diseases(NCD) and can be prevented by changing behavioral risk factors. Mobile health or mHealth is the use of mobile devices to support medical and public health. mHealth allows changing behaviors but also it enables more frequent and easy communication between consumers and health providers which in turn enables health decision making and encourages positive health behavior. Nudges can also be applied for the modification of risk factors. Nudges are a tool of behavioral economics which seek to influence behavior by modifying the decision environment. Nudges have been shown to be effective in the management and prevention of risk factors related to cardiovascular diseases.
