Description
Summary:At the international level, over the last ten years numerous studies have been done to quantify the impact of petroleum on the economy. In Colombia, although there has been concern about energy-related matters, analyses of the effects of oil prices are few and far between. The most in-depth study available was drawn up by the National Planning Department in the year 1975, for the purpose of determining the impact on the cost of living. The present study attempts to do a more exhaustive analysis of the effects of changes in oil prices on the different aspect of the Colombian economy.
