Description
Summary:In this tesis, we construct models and develop tools for security assessment studies based on the suitable topological characterization of the power system networks to deduce worhwhile information about the topolocical structure of the grid. We illustrate the capabilities of the proposed tools with a set of applications on standerd electrical systems. These studies serve to indicate the practical natura of the capabilities that the tools provide for dealing with a wide range of problems in teh area of power system security
