Description
Summary:The work shows how the change in the agricultural vocation that the village of Siberia presented in the municipality of Cota, Cundinamarca to an industrial one was manifested through a series of economic, political and business factors. The text describes in a first section the theoretical approaches to industrial location and, especially, those that have to do with the peripheries. Subsequently, mention is made of the way in which industrialization has developed in the study area and the shaping of the industrial landscape through the typology of productive spaces. This allows finding general explanations to the industrialization process in the Bogotá´s Savanna and particularly those that developed within the Siberia village.
