To achieve this goal the work was centered on the understanding of a one dimensional model, the Su-Schrieffer-Heeger model of a topological insulator, and in the use of an index map, that relates the bulk Hamiltonian and the edge Hamil- tonian, that arise when considering the K-Theory exact sequence of the Toeplitz ex- tension."-- Tomado del Formato de Documento de Grado."La correspondencia "Bulk-edge" es un fenómeno físico generalmente aceptado en el área experimental de materia condensada como un hecho, sin embargo este no se comprende teóricamente del todo. De esta manera, el propósito del presente trabajo es tratar de dar un primer acercamiento a este problema utilizando una herramienta matemática llamada K-Teoría.
