Starting from the high energy consumption problem, generated by the daily use of air conditioning in warm tropical contexts, this document collects, investigates and analyzes different thermoregulation strategies used by various living beings. Based on the this, CoolSkin develops the innovative design of an architectural envelope capable of reducing the inside temperature of a room in a more sustainable way.CoolSkin es una envolvente arquitectónica que se desarrolla a través de las estrategias que ofrece la metodología de la biomímesis. La biomímesis se define como la ciencia que estudia a la naturaleza como fuente de inspiración de tecnologías innovadoras para resolver los problemas humanos que la naturaleza ha resuelto. Partiendo de la problemática del alto consumo energético generado por el uso cotidiano del aire acondicionado en contextos cálidos tropicales, el presente documento recopila, indaga y analiza diferentes estrategias de termorregulación utilizadas por diversos seres vivos.
