Description
Summary:"Starting from the conception that the heritage is a social construction whose characteristics and meanings change according to the fines and the interests of the one who uses it and of the society that interprets it, an attempt is made to characterize the relation between the Colombian indigenous communities and their respective Archaeological heritage from the legal framework established by the political constitution of 1991. In theory, the constitutional declaration of Colombia as an identity with a multicultural identity legitimizes the identification of local patrimonial assets in relation to particular groups. However, the same rule declares the archaeological heritage as property of the Nation, with a non-attachable, imprescriptible and inalienable character, and defines a specific institution -ICANH- as the only competent authority in this matter. Thus, the question of resolution is to characterize relations between indigenous communities and archaeological heritage".-- Tomado del Formato de Documento de Grado.
