Las quemaduras son un problema de salud pública, actualmente cuentan con diferentes tratamientos que pueden ser ineficientes en algunos casos. En el presente documento se presentan diferentes etapas en la selección y validación de una necesidad en el área de tratamientos post operatorios de una quemadura de segundo y tercer grado. En el proceso se identificó como necesidad “una manera de reducir el tiempo de recuperación, prevenir infecciones y reducir la sensación de dolor en pacientes con quemaduras de segundo grado para evitar complicaciones asociadas al proceso de curación.” Posterior a esto, se describe el desarrollo de un apósito hidrocoloide cargado con extractos de aloe vera y tomillo ya que favorece la epitelización y disminuye las infecciones bacterianas, reduciendo los tiempos de recuperación. |
