In this thesis, we are interested in the following aspects: routing of heterogeneous data (scalar and multimedia) from the nodes of a WMSN to the sink in order to provide better QoS experience to users; and a optimized deployment of directional sensors of a WMSN in a three-dimensional surface with the objective to cover all the control points as defined in such a space.Overall, the proposed solutions in this thesis are both innovative and practical."--Tomado del Formato de Documento de Grado. |

Las redes de sensores multimedia son capaces de captar no solo información escalar, sino también información multimedia tales como video, imágenes o sonido. En este tipo de redes podemos encontrar problemas importantes que nos encargamos de resolver en esta tesis. Estos problemas son: un protocolo de enrutamiento para la transmisión con alta seguridad y con parámetros de calidad de servicio multiple, un algoritmo para la planificación tridimensional de los sensores y un sistema control de admisión de nuevos flujos de datos.
