Description
Summary:The general project is focused on the development of a test bench for fertigation strategies in hydroponics, considering as principal objective for this project to implement a control system for the feeding of nutrient solution with high precision and low cost. In this sense, a test bench with variable incline is designed from a base hydroponics structure (module) donated to the university by the enterprise Saénz Fety. With respect to dimensional geometry of the hydroponics module, a commercial and literature research is made to determine different irrigation feeding solutions, finding peristaltic and diaphragm pumps as a first appealing alternative and with high precision for this purpose. In this way, the purchase and characterization of 2 peristaltic pumps is made, controlled respectively by a DC motor and a stepper motor, and of 1 diaphragm pump. Each of these pumps is calibrated within a standard assembly designed for the irrigation feeding of the module
