Monumento contemporáneo

In this project at first we talk about the concept of a monument around the construction of the metro in Bogotá. This association has been due to the congruence of the characteristics between what is planned to be this new infrastructure and the monument in an architectural and sculptural sense. The explanation of this concept can be done in a comparative way using authors, artists and architects who recognize two main ways of making monuments: one associated with monumentalism and the other with monumentality. On the other hand, a brief historical tour was made about the changes suffered by the treatment of the post-modern monument, the analysis of the concept and the approach of a contemporary vision of the possible values ??and characteristics that must be contained. Finally, we show the advances around what is known as a contemporary monument, containing them in three main aspects that were recognized by the analysis.
