Description
Summary:Learning in dynamically complex context isn't an easy task. However, the magnitude of the problems that companies face and the speed of change that they experiment makes necessary "learning to learn" if the company wants to survive. Partially, the difficulty to learn in dynamically complex context emerges because the tools traditionally used to analyze problems are designed to static context with clearly defined frontiers. This characteristic makes useless the knowledge developed to solve the problems. MaxiAlimentos is a food company that produces chicken and processed meats. They have a learning problem among the managers team. Particularly, this problem is identified in the significant differences between the mental models of these people. Those differences have the potential to make them decide in a way that harm the organization, in spite that the decisions benefits a particular business unit. In light of this, it was developed a business game that captures the most relevant decisions that have to be made at a managerial level. The business game has several purposes that look for the stimulation of learning in the organization: Be a faithful representation of the operation of the company, be a tool to discuss the mental models that people have of the company and help the understanding of MaxiAlimentos as a system form by three interdependent subsystems.--Tomado del Formato de Documento de Grado.
