Description
Summary:"The form of the city reveals successive times within the territory and declares the memory of a particular human group. In this case, the territory presents a series of labouring neighbourhoods defined by a particular urban fabric for which the grid is the basic organizing principle. In that sense, the regularity imposed over the territory is the reason for disorientation, the result of the limitless extension of "urbanization" where economy governs the logic of the city. According to Antonio Armesto architecture's genuine utility resides in its capacity to build a locus. By definition a locus is an anthropological space, it is not an unvisited site. The concept of locus as it has been defined by anthropology is a site traversed by a time - memory." -- Tomado del Formato de Documento de Grado.
