En primer lugar derivamos una especificación econométrica que relaciona los niveles de renta en cada localización con la suma ponderada por la distancia del volumen de actividad económica de las localizaciones colindantes. Posteriormente, estimamos la citada especificación con datos de los departamentos colombianos para el periodo 1975-2000.
