Summary: | This degree project presents a reliability analysis that evaluates the feasibility of a 500 kV MTDC network using power systems based on voltage source converter stations (VSC) for an interconnection between Colombia, Venezuela and Panama. Using the NEPLAN software, simulations were carried out between the Colectora II, Hidrosogamoso, La Tasajera and Quimbo nodes in Colombia, an interconnection between Colombia and Panama between the Tasajera node with Llano Sánchez and Colombia with Venezuela between the Cuatricentenario node with Hidrosogamoso. The use of bipolar VSC and symmetric monopolar VSC conversion stations in the national interconnection system will be evaluated. |
