Summary:This study allowed to describe and analyze in detail the invoicing process of the Centro Oriente hospital to identify key improvement points in order to reduce delays and reprocesses that are currently producing a standstill in the hospital resources. To collect and analyze the information Six Sigma's DMAIC methodology was used. The representation of the process and its most relevant data was achieved, which allowed the approach and design of solution strategies, specifically, a process standardization was proposed in order to decrease the unnecessary transport times between stations and reduce the error levels in the receipts, as well as a series of recommendations in an organizational level.
