There are six highly relevant facts: (i) With respect to reducing cocaine supply, the efforts in seizures and destruction of infrastructure are more efficient than the efforts in eradication. (ii) Seizures and destruction of infrastructure may help in reducing coca plantations. (iii) There is no evidence to support the hypothesis that the consumption of cocaine in Colombia has increased. (iv) Most regions of the country have seen a decrease in the amount of coca crops. However, at least one armed group is present in the regions where the cultivated area has increased. (v) Coca growing municipalities are, on average, poorer than the rest of the country. These municipalities have a low tax revenue, and reduced levels of connectivity and institutional development. (vi) The increase in the consumption of cocaine in the United States is concentrated in a specific age group and in certain states. This fact makes it difficult to relate the increase in consumption to an exogenous increase in the supply.50 páginasspaUniversidad de los Andes, Facultad de Economía, CEDEDocumentos CEDE No. 10 Febrero de 2019https://ideas.repec.org/p/col/000089/017197.htmlVoy a la ciudad, voy a trabajar?: Costos de oportunidad de la tierra en la migración rural-urbana en Colombia y su efecto sobre el ingresoDocumento de trabajoinfo:eu-repo/semantics/workingPaperhttp://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_8042http://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85Texthttps://purl.org/redcol/resource_type/WPMigraciónTierraLiquidezChoques climáticosRoyJ21, J61, O15Facultad de EconomíaPublicationTHUMBNAILdcede2019-10.pdf.jpgdcede2019-10.pdf.jpgIM Thumbnailimage/jpeg11863https://repositorio.uniandes.edu.co/bitstreams/2337038d-ac1b-48f6-809f-5283ca89e6e1/download4cca1308282d736f7cab782448e3421bMD55TEXTdcede2019-10.pdf.txtdcede2019-10.pdf.txtExtracted texttext/plain97157https://repositorio.uniandes.edu.co/bitstreams/0719e9a7-1edf-48c5-ac96-64012ca75bf0/downloada9781f2bf497bac794690f6a91ae7644MD54ORIGINALdcede2019-10.pdfdcede2019-10.pdfapplication/pdf1237778https://repositorio.uniandes.edu.co/bitstreams/8f31dc97-37bf-4d21-a71d-5f76d0c50d80/download1bc0b58cbeb61836c217f673371902f4MD511992/41074oai:repositorio.uniandes.edu.co:1992/410742024-06-04 15:28:06.547http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/open.accesshttps://repositorio.uniandes.edu.coRepositorio institucional Sénecaadminrepositorio@uniandes.edu.co |
