Summary: | The COVID-19 pandemic has generated a health crisis that has had multiple consequences on the worldwide economy. Therefore, many countries, together with their respective central banks, have adopted monetary policy strategies to mitigate the economic consequences that have materialized due to decisions associated with mobility restrictions, biosecurity, public health, consumption decisions, among others. The Colombian government, together with the Banco de la República, have not been passive agents in the search for solutions to mitigate the different negative externalities suffered in the local economy. For such purposes, different strategies have been developed, such as: (i) credits backed by the National Guarantee Fund; (ii) accompany debtors' programs and (iii) economic support to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises.
