A pesar de que los tratamientos transdiagnósticos han contribuido a tratar los trastornos emocionales a partir de los procesos psicológicos que tienen en común...Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) has shown to be an effective psychological treatment for anxiety and depression disorders, showing large and moderate effect sizes compared to other treatments. CBT have been recommended as the first line intervention to treat anxiety and mood disorders. However, despite its effectiveness, some patients do not respond to treatment. Several efforts in clinical psychology try to explain why some people respond to treatments and others do not. First, since diagnostic categories do not provide information about etiological nor maintaining variables, not all individuals receiving the same diagnosis necessarily constitute a homogeneous category and share the same maintenance variables, as there might be different, not yet identified, causal processes. Second, categorical systems for classifying mental disorders do not reflect the dimensional nature of disorders, leading to high levels of comorbidity.
