For this purpose, the development of Digital Twins inside manufacturing systems seems an ideal step into enhancing these production lines with the capability to self-monitor and self-operate. Moreover, the support of theses monitoring activities with the use of a State Assessment module inside the DT of a production system and its design, testing and validation through the use of Virtual Commissioning represents a desirable and not much researched field yet, which is the reason for this project to continue the exploiting of the benefits of Virtual Commissioning inside the DTs trend inside manufacturing.La tendencia de las Industrias 4.0 dentro del campo de la manufactura representa un gran potencial de investigación con el fin de introducir mejor reactividad a eventos inesperados y una más alta optimización de tiempos de inactividad en los activos físicos de una línea de producción. Para este propósito, el desarrollo de Gemelos Digitales para Sistemas de Manufactura se proyecta como un paso ideal en el enriquecimiento de estos sistemas de producción con la capacidad para auto--monitorearse y auto-operarse.
