Summary: | The main objective of the Degree Project is to propose a frame of reference to evaluate maintenance and repairs costs by failure, caused by dynamic accidents in the transport of fuel materials by pipelines in Colombia. In order to comply with the above objective, was used an accident report on pipeline systems transporting hazardous liquids obtained from the Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA). In the first instance, through an adjustment of probability distribution using the statistical package Oracle Crystal Ball, an analysis was made of the reported failure times of 13 pipes of different material, coating type and commodity transported, to later introduce the parameters estimated in these tests in the survival models performed for each of the ducts, based on the Kaplan-Meier product limit method... |
