Summary: | This year, 2020, the earth showed us its ability to destroy, disrupt and transform everything that humanity has created; systems, relationships and spaces changed completely. In cracks in the streets and pavement, plants categorized as weeds were seen trying to retake their space. These cracks reflect the breakdowns of the current consumption system and of the industries that maintain forms of excessive and accelerated consumption. These forms of consumption are no longer sustainable for the planet, they must be changed. Through rebellion and opposition to the consumer system, anarchist communities are born. They dont consume, they live by alternatives such as repair and re-use. Upcycling, a re-use technique, has the purpose of taking garments that are at the end of the product's life cycle.
