Our findings show that once we account for self-selection the penalty of attending a recently created program, which initially appeared to be quite large, becomes close to zero.Una rápida expansión de la demanda por educación post-secundaria desató un boom sin precedentes de programas de educación superior en Colombia, posiblemente deteriorando la calidad. Este trabajo usa ricos datos administrativos, emparejando información de admisiones de las instituciones de educación superior, características socioeconómicas de los jóvenes graduados, evaluaciones estandarizadas pre- y posteducación terciaria y salarios de entrada, para evaluar la heterogeneidad en el valor agregado generado por los programas de educación superior.
