But how can we show the beauty of something that causes us disgust because of its appearance, color or form? This project seeks to give a new perspective to this world through an ornamental piece made with filamentous fungi, exalting its colors, shapes and textures, in order to achieve a catalysis that encourages research and the use of fungi in the field of biodesign.Fungarium es un proyecto que nace a partir de las percepciones que tienen las personas sobre los hongos, que suelen ser negativas o desagradables debido a su poco conocimiento de este mundo. Sin embargo, los hongos son microorganismos que nos dan comidas, tintes, materiales, entre muchos otros usos, que como diseñadores podemos aprovechar desde el campo del biodiseño para crear nuevos productos o experiencias. Pero, ¿cómo mostrar lo bello de algo que nos causa repulsión por su aspecto, color o figura?
