We find that boys and girls are equally competitive in all tasks and all measures in Colombia. Unlike the consistent results in Colombia, the results in Sweden are mixed, with some indication of girls being more competitive than boys in some tasks in terms of performance change, whereas boys are more likely to choose to compete in general. Boys in both countries are more risk taking than girls, with a smaller gender gap in Sweden.40 páginasspaUniversidad de los Andes, Facultad de Economía, CEDEDocumentos CEDE No. 26 Junio de 2011https://ideas.repec.org/p/col/000089/008910.htmlGender Differences in Competitiveness and Risk Taking: Comparing Children in Colombia and SwedenDocumento de trabajoinfo:eu-repo/semantics/workingPaperhttp://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_8042http://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85Texthttps://purl.org/redcol/resource_type/WPCompetitivenessRisk preferencesChildrenGender differencesExperimentC91, D03, J16Facultad de EconomíaPublicationTHUMBNAILdcede2011-26.pdf.jpgdcede2011-26.pdf.jpgIM Thumbnailimage/jpeg3481https://repositorio.uniandes.edu.co/bitstreams/0b7af96f-f308-4509-a24d-78a463814f7a/download13397abd13978b84cba3cdf882c520fcMD57ORIGINALdcede2011-26.pdfdcede2011-26.pdfapplication/pdf818861https://repositorio.uniandes.edu.co/bitstreams/ed1e2a07-2e0b-477e-b84e-11a32aa052c8/download896f4c14e237126b7b9bccd47bd8960aMD53TEXTdcede2011-26.pdf.txtdcede2011-26.pdf.txtExtracted texttext/plain73071https://repositorio.uniandes.edu.co/bitstreams/c25cf880-b37b-47c6-bf63-9e0998d1aad5/downloadc891925eece166a0f223e0d7d7858911MD561992/41007oai:repositorio.uniandes.edu.co:1992/410072024-06-04 15:46:28.243http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/open.accesshttps://repositorio.uniandes.edu.coRepositorio institucional Sénecaadminrepositorio@uniandes.edu.co
