Summary: | "Positioning today is mainly linked to the Global Positioning System (GPS) technology. This technology, despite being very effective and meeting current needs, lacks precision when applied indoors (such as buildings, parking lots, among others). This happens because the accuracy range of the GPS is 5 meters, and that, in addition to this, the signal of the technology is lost due to the thickness of the infrastructure in the interiors. In order to facilitate the location of places and the experience of users in places where GPS is not enough, it is proposed to implement an indoor positioning system. The application of this system will be reflected in a software for Android devices applied to two elements of the university: The first element corresponds to a positioning system through triangulation reflected in the map of clean room: in this it will be possible to observe the user's location in the area through the plans of the place and Beacons of Bluetooth of low energy (BLE) located in the room to facilitate positioning. The second deals with an information system by neighborhood, where, from different BLE Beacons located in different points of the university, the application can identify the closest ones and from this obtain the corresponding information of the site for the user."--Tomado del Formato de Documento de Grado |
