Summary: | The main purpose of this work is to study the effects of the increase in inclination in the optimized design of urban drainage networks using the methodology proposed by Duque in her master's thesis called Metodología para el diseño optimizado de redes de alcantarillado, with the modifications that allow creating backdrop manholes on the layout. At the same time, the linear variation methodology exposed by Noriega in his degree project entitled Diseño optimizado de redes de drenaje urbano: análisis de sensibilidad de restricciones de diseño y variación topográfica is used to tilt the lands that will be designed. Two real networks and two benchmark networks were used to fulfill the objectives of this work. On the other hand, the results indicate that UTOPIA (software that implements the Duque methodology) needs specific conditions to create and recognize the backdrop manholes in a network, if these conditions are not satisfied, the program can provide different elevations for the same node. In the same way, it is possible to observe that as the slope of a terrain increases, it will present an increase in the number of backdrop manholes. Finally, it is recommended to continue working on the development of UTOPIA and carry out similar studies by varying the cost equation used by the software.--Taken from the Degree Document Format. |
