description Our idea is to optimize and improve the efficiency of chronic pain treatments in Colombia, more precisely, the data collection and reviewing, and the dose recalculation process with which the medical staff determines if the treatment given to a certain patient is correctly treating their pain condition. To do this, we develop a device which works in a similar manner to any PCA (Patient-Controlled Analgesy) device: the patient is able to press a button to request for an additional dose of the analgesic. Our approach adds a wireless transmitter to the device, which send a signal each time the patient presses the button. This signal is later received by a software installed in a computer, only accesible by the medical staff, in which they can review the data regarding the patient's treatment in real time. This device will be sold through individual sales to medical centers or through alliances with infusion pump distributors, while the software is to be maintained by a yearly subscription-based payment
