Description
Summary:The Hybrid Catalyst Model is a proposal to boost the internal relations between the residents of the housing model and generate high-qualified public spaces. The idea is to improve the quality of low-cost housing, where living space can be made more flexible and optimized without sacrificing habitability conditions. It also proposes collective spaces as services and co-living areas that allow to meet the different needs of residents and encourage their interaction by generating a sense of community in housing. Finally, this is complemented with commercial places, equipments and public space that becomes a focus of meeting and participation for the inhabitants of the neighborhood. The generation of public spaces allows the development of important activities for representative communities of the neighborhood that are open to the public and are commonly developed by foundations or groups so that architecture becomes an important tool in the social work that benefits the inhabitants of the city.
