Summary: | The present research work aims to determine the potential energy that can be generated with the anaerobic fermentation of organic waste (specifically the shell of the pitaya) through biogas production, attenuating at the same time the production of greenhouse gases produced by the decomposition of these residues. This work is divided into two phases, the first is the process of characterization of pitaya Peel to determine the various substances and properties of biomass such as cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin. This procedure is performed with the shell before and after going through a process of pretreatment phosphate which consisted in introducing the fruit in acetic acid (0. 2 M) for 1 hour at 100 ø C, having a size of 5 mm x 5 mm. In this first stage, followed the NREL protocols, by means of which it was possible to obtain that the percentage of solid volatile fruit before and after pretreatment was 20th and 20th respectively... |
