This paper seeks to find the gap between the net collection and what should have been collected from 2009 to 2016, given the number of employed in the country. This aims to find the value and thus quantify the impact generated by the lack of affiliation to the pension system.Colombia es un país con una baja cobertura en el sistema de pensiones. Actualmente la población de ocupados es de 28,683,259 de personas. Dentro de este grupo, tan solo 7.7 millones de individuos se encuentran afiliadas a este sistema, lo que implica que el resto de personas ocupadas no cotizan o tienen métodos alternativos de ahorro, pero ÅCuál es el efecto de esta falta de cobertura? Este trabajo busca encontrar la brecha entre el recaudo neto y lo que verdaderamente se debió recaudar desde el 2009 hasta el 2016, dado el número de ocupados en el país.
