Study of the electrochemical synthesis of a hybrid material of poly(3,4-ethylenedioxy-thiophene) modified with copper species

Summary: | "Conductive polymers (CPs) have the electrical properties of semiconductors and the versatility of common polymers. In addition, their properties can be tuned via a doping process, which usually consists in the oxidation of the monomer in presence of a counter ion (p-doping). Among the different CPs known to date, poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT) is of special interest due to its environmental and chemical stability. In this work, we describe the synthesis of films of a hybrid material ofPEDOT and copper speeies onto a glassy carbon(GC) electrode, and diseuss its possible use as an electroehemical sensor of dopamine(DA)". -- Tomado del resumen. |
