As I learned it's use I started to conceive it as an extension of my own body through which it was possible to link hands knowledge, techniques and tools to make possible the act of knitting. This research, suggests thinking about machine knitting as an act to rebuild a family memory that has faded over time. In this way, tissue and memory come together as a consequence of technique and development of a knitting work. A single thread that is being attached to the points made above, indicating the...Este proyecto propone una relectura en la concepción que se tiene del tejido de punto como medio de expresión en cuanto implícitamente está representando la esencia y el espíritu del autor en el momento de crear su obra. Es así, que a partir de la inspiración encontrada en el cuarto de máquinas ubicado en el apartamento de mi abuela, decido apropiarme de su máquina de tejer que había estado en desuso por más de una década. A este objeto lo concibo como una extensión del cuerpo a través de la cual es posible vincular el conocimiento de las manos, las técnicas y las herramientas que hacen posible el acto de tejer. De esta manera, la investigación propone pensar el tejido de punto hecho a máquina como acto para la reconstrucción de una memoria propia y familiar que se ha desvanecido con el tiempo.
