Este programa surge de la necesidad de tener un software fácil de usar que produzca graficas de alta calidad para artículos científicos y usos de laboratorio. El programa GeoChemPlot produce 50 diferentes tipos de graficas ternarias, bi-variables y tipo spider en las siguientes categorías: discriminación de ambiente tectónico, elementos mayores, elementos menores, y plantillas en blanco (definidas por el usuario).
