As a consequence of this ruling was issued Decree 1227 of 2015 that defined the procedure to make effective the change of sex in the citizenship card for the trans people. The ruling and the issuance of the aforementioned decree have a scope in specific aspects but not for access to benefits in the General Pension System. In spite of this, in agreement with the constitutional precedent it is understood that the protection by the Constitutional Court to the Trans people is not reduced to the modification of the sex...La Corte Constitucional mediante sentencia T-063/15 protegió los derechos fundamentales a la dignidad humana, al libre desarrollo de la personalidad, a la identidad sexual y la personalidad jurídica, los cuales consideró vulnerados ante la negativa de la Notaría Doce del Círculo de Medellín para autorizar el cambio del sexo inscrito en el registro civil de nacimiento y demás documentos de identidad, sin tener que acudir a un proceso de jurisdicción voluntaria. Como consecuencia de esta sentencia se expidió el decreto 1227 de 2015 que definió el procedimiento para hacer efectivo el cambio de sexo en la cédula de ciudadanía para la población trans. El fallo y la expedición del mencionado decreto tienen un alcance en aspectos específicos pero no para el acceso a las prestaciones en el Sistema General de Pensiones.
