Over the years, technology advanced, the steam train became electric and Colombia did not have the infrastructure to guarantee this step. Also with the Colombia government's commitment to use cars, buses and airplanes, they began to leave the railway isolated and forgotten. Time passed, and with it everything that the station meant in its day took with it.
