Description
Summary:"International law applicable to armed conflicts at sea has been developed during the twentieth century, through treaties and customary international law. However, the positive evolution of the law of the sea and a better understanding of the ocean, has allowed the development of scenarios of interpretation instead than a specific regulation for naval warfare, according to the State interests and other actors in the international system. Within the described scenario, the Colombian State has the task to establish its own regulation, considering the constitutional mandate to safeguard the territorial integrity and the defense of national maritime spaces". -- Tomado del resumen.
