The registration of the business groups - in order to know the control of the matrix - is important because it becomes a mechanism by which the creditors of the companies of the group can inform themselves about the relations of subordination existing in the matrix. The problem now is that there are no rules with the reason and business logic of business groups and make it more tedious to develop and enjoy benefits such as intergroup operations of financial, human capital...Actualmente los grupos empresariales en Colombia están regulados por la Ley 222 de 1995. Como medio de regulación, la ley exige que, al existir grupos empresariales, éstos deben ser registrados ante el registro mercantil con el fin de poder vigilar que cumplan con el requisito de ley. Entre estas exigencias que impone a la ley los grupos empresariales es hacer público, a través del registro, la empresa controlante o matriz. El registro de los grupos empresariales para así conocer su controlante o matriz, es importante porque se convierte en un mecanismo por el cual los acreedores de las compañías del grupo pueden informarse acerca de las relaciones de subordinación existentes respecto de la matriz.
