Description
Summary:This paper uses a series of empirical observations in different enterprises? processes to start the construction of a knowledge base about their problems and some of their most likely root causes. This project found 61 observed problems and 25 normalized root causes in 10 different dimensions of multiple enterprises. Also, these dimensions were distributed in 12 different industries and 85 different enterprises. This project can be the foundation to build a bigger knowledge base that would allow us to understand and analyze problems in a certain industry or enterprise, and relate them to some of its likely root causes. With this, enterprises would get a proper idea of where to concentrate their efforts.
