Description
Summary:From 1911 to 1995, 551 major accidents were reported around the world including onshore and offshore. These events haver their origin in the inherent risks of the operations. Due to this, risk analysis has emerged in the safety of the processes such as a study of the systems that provide information for their assurance and the improvement of the processes. Among the most widely recognized analyzes there is the Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA). This calculates three elements: the probability of the scenarios, the effects and the consequences derived from the accidental events of interest. Therefore, this document is presented as a guide that provides a set of techniques and methods for the calculation of probability of accidental events applicable to the Colombian context.
