La albahaca (Ocimum basilicum L.) es una de las principales hierbas aromáticas que se exportan en Colombia; sin embargo, diversas enfermedades que afectan el tallo y las hojas reducen la producción e impactan negativamente el mercado. Durante la temporada de lluvias en la vereda La Dulce, Espinal (Tolima, Colombia) la etiología de una enfermedad foliar en albahaca cv. Nufar no ha sido bien definida por lo que se examinaron aislamientos fúngicos de hojas que presentaban manchas necróticas anfígenas con anillos concéntricos para determinar el agente etiológico. Se realizó la identificación morfológica y molecular de los morfotipos predominantes, así como las respectivas pruebas de patogenicidad. Dos hongos dematiáceos fueron asociados a la mancha foliar en O. basilicum: Curvularia sp. y Corynespora sp. Los postulados de Koch se completaron con las plantas inoculadas con Corynespora sp., cuyas hojas presentaron lesiones necróticas en condiciones de laboratorio y el hongo fue reaislado con una prevalencia del 100%. Hasta donde sabemos, este es el primer reporte de Corynespora sp. causando mancha foliar en O. basilicum cv. Nufar en Colombia. |

Durante la temporada de lluvias en la vereda La Dulce, Espinal (Tolima, Colombia) la etiología de una enfermedad foliar en albahaca cv. Nufar no ha sido bien definida por lo que se examinaron aislamientos fúngicos de hojas que presentaban manchas necróticas anfígenas con anillos concéntricos para determinar el agente etiológico. Se realizó la identificación morfológica y molecular de los morfotipos predominantes, así como las respectivas pruebas de patogenicidad. Dos hongos dematiáceos fueron asociados a la mancha foliar en O. basilicum: Curvularia sp. y Corynespora sp. Los postulados de Koch se completaron con las plantas inoculadas con Corynespora sp., cuyas hojas presentaron lesiones necróticas en condiciones de laboratorio y el hongo fue reaislado con una prevalencia del 100%. Hasta donde sabemos, este es el primer reporte de Corynespora sp. causando mancha foliar en O. basilicum cv.
