The simplest extension of the standard model that can explain these phenomena is the Seesaw Mechanism, which proposes the existence of heavy right-handed neutrinos. In this project, we studied the possibility of detecting these particles in the CMS detector. In order to do this, the computational programs MadGraph, Pythia, Delphes and ROOT are used to simulate the signal and backgrounds." -- Tomado del Formato de Documento de Grado."El Modelo Estándar es la teoría que describe las partículas fundamentales y sus interacciones. Esta teoría es incompleta porque no explica diferentes fenómenos observados experimentalmente en física de partículas. Por ejemplo, el Modelo Estándar predice que los neutrinos tienen una masa nula y no explica por qué en la naturaleza observamos solo neutrinos de helicidad izquierda. La extensión más simple del modelo estándar que logra explicar lo anterior es el Mecanismo Seesaw, el cual propone la existencia de neutrinos pesados con helicidad derecha. En este proyecto se estudió la posibilidad de detectar estas partículas en el detector CMS. Para realizar esto, se usaron los programas computacionales MadGraph, Pythia, Delphes y ROOT para simular la señal de interés y el ruido experimental.
