Description
Summary:"This paper summarizes the exploratory research through the prototyping of a humanoid robotic head at home -FACEBOT-. The robotic head is capable of interaction with facial expressions and emotion recognition. The head and neck have 15 degrees of freedom and are made entirely of locally sourced materials. The facial expressions are detected with a webcam and translated into programmed responses and interactions. After building the head I reflected on the main findings to suggest opportunities for the industry and the maker movement, and proposed INTEGER, a platform business model for crowdsourcing market leads from the maker community." -- Tomado del Formato de Documento de Grado.
