| Summary: | Dulce Amargura, is a series of conceptual and sculptural corsets, which aims to make visible through design a critical reflection on the way in which the body is currently attacked, to correct or modify aspects that are considered outside the canons Of "ideal beauty" imposed socially, especially on women. In addition, the pieces are the result of a process of material development that was carried out using different types of sweets and candies, showing their potential for the production of non-conventional textile pieces. With this project we want to make evident the power of Critical Design to make visible a problem and make it an object of discussion, allowing us to question our way of life and current thinking. |
