Description
Summary:The aim of this article is to determine what is the effect of a higher education level of a teenager between 10 and 16 years on his expectations for age at first child. This is done by using the ELCA (Colombian Survey of the Universidad de los Andes). A random effects model is proposed, in which the dependent variable is the age at which the teenager expects to have his or her first child. The independent variables are school drop out, the last school year passed by the teenager, some educational expectatives of the teenager and an array of control variables.
