This new policy delineated a response to the attack through a specific set of political and military responses that would lead to a new type of global war. Certain components of this new policy involve human rights violations that are justified by being part of a struggle to save the world from terrorists.Después de el atentado terrorista del 9 de septiembre de 2001 a las Torres Gemelas la política de seguridad estadounidense experimentó un cambio significativo. A partir de ese dramático echo nació la llamada Guerra Contra el Terror, una narrativa en la cual Estados Unidos se posiciona a sí mismo como el salvador de la seguridad internacional declarándose en guerra con los terroristas, siendo esto definidos de manera amplia. Esta nueva política delineo así una respuesta al ataque por medio de un conjunto específico de respuestas políticas y militares que darían lugar a un nuevo tipo de guerra global.
