Also, this monograph includes the results of a phenomenological analysis seeking to establish whether a search of heavy neutrinos in final states with hadronically decaying tau leptons, and using the vector boson fusion technique, was feasible to be performed at the LHC."El Modelo Estándar (ME) reúne todo el conocimiento acerca de las partículas fundamentales y sus interacciones. Aunque el ME ha logrado explicar varios fenómenos físicos observados experimentalmente, aún quedan varias preguntas sin resolver relacionadas con física de partículas... Esta monografía incluye una revisión del problema de la masa de los neutrinos en el ME, las bases teóricas del mecanismo Seesaw y un resumen de búsquedas previas del neutrino pesado.
